.: EA gives a first look at Fight Night Round 3

EA just announced Fight Night Round 3, the latest entry into the ring for the Playstation 3.

Making its world-wide debut today at the Sony press conference in Los Angeles, the next iteration in the hit EA SPORTS™ Fight Night series packs a fearsome punch of next-gen power. The screenshot released today demonstrates the photo-realism and bone-crunching intensity of the series. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months.

Its interesting to note that one of EA's first offerings is a boxing game. This particular genre doesn't typically generate the largest fan-base, but based on the screenshot, there is a definate reason for showcasing this title. The simplistic nature of a boxing game provides a quick dose of fun, while allowing for EA to show off the incredible graphics they are able to generate with Sony's next-gen console, the Playstation 3.
