THQ just issued a press release concerning their upcoming release of MotoGP: Ultimate Racing Technology 3 and an innovation to the multiplayer and AI racing.  According to the press release, MotoGP will promote online play by incorporating a feature which will seek out competition online.  When a user sets up an AI race, the game will automatically search for comparably skilled racers who are also challenging the game’s AI.  If an appropriate racer is found, it will ask the players if they would like to challenge one another instead.  Although this feature will enhance the replay value of MotoGP, the current description doesn’t seem as innovative from a gameplay perspective.  Innovation aside, hopefully more game titles will include similar automated competition searching.
